Masjid Lama Kg. Pelangai
The Forgotten Spaces.
An old mosque in Kampung Pelangai, Kuala Pilah was built in 1910, with the intervention of 'Demak' architectural style.
The unique element of 5 'Tiang Gantung' symbolises the 5 pillars of Islam.
The stone steps, ablution part still intact with the broken long-standing 'mimbar'.
As various 'secret stories' have been told, the Islamic architectural essence of the structure is still strong today, although the structure is no longer in use.
